Kasim Kasuri
CEO, Beaconhouse

Kasim Kasuri has been CEO of Beaconhouse since 2005. During this period, along with the steady consolidation of Beaconhouse Pakistan, Kasim has been the driving force behind the international development of Beaconhouse. He is passionate about change in the educational status quo and was intimately involved in the establishment of TNS Beaconhouse, a progressive new school in Lahore that was inspired by the first ‘School of Tomorrow’ conference in 2005 and which embodies its underlying theme of challenging conventional thinking about teaching and learning. Kasim steered TNS towards its recent accreditation from the International Baccalaureate Organisation and was instrumental in the launch of a second TNS campus in April 2012. He has played a defining role in the previous ‘School of Tomorrow’ conferences in 2005 and 2010 as well as steering the direction and vision of the current 2012 conference.

From 1995 to 2005, Kasim was the CEO of Beaconhouse-Informatics, a network of eight IT institutes offering courses ranging from corporate training to internationally accredited IT degrees. Kasim has also been involved in publishing, and was the Editor and Publisher of two of Pakistan’s first computer magazines, MICRO and PC World, from 1988 to 1996.

He was nominated a ‘Young Global Leader’ by the World Economic Forum (WEF) in 2009 and has represented Pakistan at various summits around the world including the World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting in Davos besides playing a key role in several WEF initiatives including ‘Global Dignity’. Kasim is currently also serving as Vice Chair of the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on Pakistan.
