Mary Louise Holly
Professor, Kent State University, USA

Mary Louise Holly, a long-time champion of teacher inquiry, is the Co-Director of the Igniting Streams of Learning in Science programme where teachers, along with high school, undergraduate and graduate students, work in learning communities to study and develop environmental education and conservation in their local districts.

Ms Holly works with teachers and pre-service teachers in early childhood and primary education, cultivating and documenting learning and development using action research and case study methods. She is the author and co-author, respectively, of Writing to Grow: Keeping a Personal Professional Journal, Perspectives on Teacher Professional Development (with Caven McLoughlin, eds), and Action Research for Teachers (with J. Arhar and W. Kasten).
