Pamela Mundy
Early Years and Primary Years Consultant

Pamela Mundy is an independent Early Years and Primary Years consultant, speaker and writer working with a wide range of schools, Children’s Centres and Early Years settings on learning, teaching, assessment and leadership. Director of Created Visions Consultancy, she is also Senior Associate to WCL Education and a member of the Advisory Board for the UK-based Curriculum Foundation, an organisation leading on creative curriculum and innovative learning developments nationally and internationally. Previously a teacher, head teacher and Principal Adviser for Early Years in West Sussex, Pam is currently working with the UK NCSL (National College for School Leadership) as Strategic Lead Associate for Foundation Years and Foundation Years Leadership. She is also Strategic Lead for the national Children’s Centre Leadership Network. She worked with the UK QCDA on the development and writing of the 2008 Early Years Foundation Stage Profile and is currently supporting the DfE with the implementation and development of the new Early Years Foundation Stage Framework and Profile.

Pam works with many international organisations including schools and Ministries of Education, both nationally and internationally, on Early Years and Primary school development, and as a speaker/session leader on a range of Early Years and Primary conferences. Recent international work with the World Class Learning Group has been school reviews and accreditation visits (as Team Leader) in Brunei, the USA, Nigeria, Russia, India and Oman. She is currently working with WCL’s own schools to develop Early Years provision and practice and has worked with Cambridge University on developing Early Years provision and practice for the Nile Schools of Excellence in Egypt. She is an Accreditation Team Leader and consultant for the Council for International Schools.

She supports leadership and curriculum development with organisations in the UAE, Middle East, Europe, SE Asia and with the Tokyo Association of International Pre-Schools in Japan. She has also worked with Qatar University, Doha and schools in Singapore, Tokyo, Jakarta, the USA, and Australia to create an innovative and dynamic approach to learning and teaching. Future work includes leading major conferences for the British Schools of the Middle East, KDHA , and a tour of Indonesia, developing Early Years and Primary Learning. She also works as a freelance consultant for the BBC and Channel 4 television on a range of educational programmes and has written a variety of publications on Early Years and Primary Learning.
